I bought a ficus and it died that weekend. I looked at the soil & there were white worms w legs. What are they

I bought a large ficus from a floral shop and by the end of the weekend it was dead. I looked in the soil and there were all these small white-ish worm looking things but they have legs? What are they and how do I get rid of them? The ficus is toast but I want to know what the insects are before buying another plant.

Who cares? Take it back to the florist and get your money back.
Reply:could be termites or ant larvae.

if the plant died in a couple of days something was terribly wrong

as a former florist i have to agree with answerer that said take it to the flower shop,

they can determine what killed the plant,

it sounds like it was cooked or got tooooooooooo dry

or was fertilized when dry or something else dramatic

they will be able to tell
Reply:They are grub worms....
